Touch Down Pages

A Touch Down page is a landing page for your domain name. It can be a Blog or a Website.

If you have a Touch Down page, when someone types your name into the search engine the first link on the list will be "www.yourname.com" followed by other sites that you are linked to. That’s what people want. Don’t make them work, don't make them think ... just give them the contact information instantly. When this happens, they wont click off and go look for someone else.

No one uses a phone book anymore so in addition to new customers, old customers will also use the search box to contact you. You need to be there for them too.

Websites can cost thousands of dollars and require constant updating. Considerable time and money can be spent keeping websites current. In the end, you may not need a full website. Maybe all you need is a Domain Name and a Touch Down page. Your Touch Down page can and should still have have the look and feel for your business.

Keep It Simple

Compare a Touch Down page to a full page ad in the yellow pages. It is like a website with only one page that will have all your information. It can include:
  • one small paragraph with information about your company
  • your name and logo
  • a link to your website if you have one
  • address
  • phone and fax numbers
  • email links to you and your staff
  • contact form
  • map
  • print page button
It's all there on one page. You don't have to work at anything and neither does your customer. There are no heavy loading graphics, no complicated programs, no internal links, no other information pages, and no sub pages to wade through.

A Touch Down page is an effective, inexpensive and competitive alternative to maintaining a full website.
